Immunizations

There are immunizations available for many vaccine-preventable diseases, including:

  • Diphtheria*
  • Tetanus*
  • Pertussis
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Polio
  • Varicella
  • Prevnar
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Flu* vaccinations are also available in the fall of the year.

(Those vaccinations with an * are available for adults as well as children. Some require a small fee)

The Dallas County Health Department provides childhood and adult immunizations to the residents of Dallas County. View the Immunization Schedule below for helpful information. Children under 18 receive immunizations at No Charge.

12 to 18 months Varicella zoster virus
15 to 18 months DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis)
4 to 6 years  DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis)
4 to 6 years  Polio
4 to 6 years MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
10-year intervals Td (tetanus, diphtheria)
11 to 19 years Hepatitis B If not completed earlier.
11 to 19 years Varicella zoster virus if not completed earlier.
