The Dallas County Health Department is responsible for the
regular inspection of food services establishments and other
businesses within the county. The health department conducts
regular inspections of: All Food Establishments including Food
Stores and Restaurants, Day Care faculties, Hotels/Motels in
Dallas County. |

Missouri Department of Health and Senior
Services (DHSS)
website. On the DHSS website under Manuals, click and you
will find access to the Missouri Food Code Book or Environmental
Health Operational Guideline which is used as the basis for
inspections of all food establishments. |

Wastewater is of major concern due to the
possibility of ground water contamination. Dallas County
Health Department deemed it necessary to pass a local wastewater
ordinance. Only
registered installers
are allowed to install, modify or repair ANY system in
Dallas County. The
type of system
will depend on variety of factors. Size, soil, layout are
just a few factors that are considered. |

handled by the EPHS (Environmental Public Health Specialist).

Truck Wrecks or Accidents
involving food for consumers requires EPHS or designated person
to either approve salvage of product or embargo of product.
Although not common in Dallas County it does require 24/7
availability. |
