WIC provides benefits to families that have Women who are pregnant (having a baby), breastfeeding (nursing a baby up to a year) and postpartum (for 6 months after having a baby or termination of pregnancy), Infants (a child under a year), and Children (from age 1 year up to their 5th birthday).

Eligibility for WIC can only be determined at a certification process conducted by Local WIC Providers at a clinic they operate throughout the state of Missouri. To be eligible for WIC benefits applicants must meet income guidelines and at least one of the nutrition risk factors.
