Shape Up Dallas County 2025

 ·   When: Friday, September 26, 2025 (Initial Weigh-Ins)-Friday, November 21, 2025 (Final Weigh-Ins)

Where: Friday Weigh-Ins take place at: Dallas County Health Department-1011 W. Main St. Buffalo, MO 65622

                                                                 Hours: 8:00am-noon or 1:00pm-4:30pm

      You may also weigh-in at: Dallas County Area Y-932 W. Main St Buffalo, MO Hours: 5:00am-5:00pm 

     Cost: There is NO COST to join the challenge. However, to be eligible to win a prize in the overall weight loss division of the

           challenge the cost is $10.00.  All collected money will be distributed to the winners of the weight loss division at the end

           of the challenge. (1st place-50%, 2nd place-35%, 3rd place-15%). The amounts awarded will be dependent on the number of those

           that pay to enter. Overall weight loss winners will be figured on percentage of total weight loss. Entry payments need to be made

           to the Dallas County Health Department either by cash, check or card.  You can pay through initial weigh-in day September 26, 2025.

          

  How: 1. Register via the app (QR Code Below), click and fill out the registration link or pick up a paper packet at Dallas County

           Health Department by end of day, March 28, 2025 (forms can be turned in at initial weigh- ins).

                   

          2. Select a Physical Activity Goal(s) from the list; each week/day of the challenge.  You can stay with the

             same Goal each week/day, or mix them up; as long as you meet ONE of the fitness goals a minimum of five days each week.

             

          3. Select a lifestyle goal for each week of the challenge.  Once you implement a goal, continue it for the remainder of the

             challenge, adding a new goal each week.  Week one you will have one goal, by week eight you should have eight simultaneously

             implemented lifestyle changes.  You will need to implement selected goal(s) a minimum of five days each week.

           

          4. Weigh-in at one of the above locations each Friday, each week at weigh-in you will report if you reached your fitness and/or

             lifestyle goal for the previous week (fitness and nutrition tracking will begin September 26th and weekly reports will take

             place October 3rd- November 21st.)

 

          5. We will award weekly prizes as funds and donations allow.  Our goal is to distribute a weekly weight loss prize

             (participant with the greatest percentage for the week), a weekly fitness prize (random draw of participants meeting their

             goal) and a weekly lifestyle prize (random draw of participants meeting their goal.) The overall weight loss cash prizes

             (1st, 2nd & 3rd)  will be distributed at the end of the challenge, the amount will be dependent upon the number of paying  

             entries into the overall prize.
